NCCN Poster Wins Honorable Mention

(PORTLAND, ORE.) -- Participants from the Campus-Community Partnerships for Health (CCPH) Conference awarded an Honorable Mention ribbon to a poster for the Nurturing Cultural Competence in Nursing (NCCN) program on May 15 at the Marriott Downtown Portland as part of the Viewer's Choice Poster Awards. Submitted by NCCN program evaluator Masami Nishishiba PhD of Portland State University, the poster focused on the collaborations and partnerships formed as part of the program. Participants who voted on the poster commented on the significance of the information and praised the clearly defined outcomes.

CCPH accepted Dr. Nishishba's abstract " Building Capacity for Culturally Competent Nursing Through Innovative Partnerships" for a poster presentation last fall. A copy of the poster can be accessed by clicking here.
